The beautiful white dresses that we see in the LDS Temple also make wonderful wedding dresses. Many people are simplifiying their taste in wedding dresses. The dresses that are worn in the LDS Temple can also be used as wedding dresses for LDS brides and others alike. The reason this trend has started is two fold.
The first reason some brides are using this inexpensive alternative is simply money. With all of the expenses involved in getting married, saving a little money on a dress that’s only worn once makes a lot of sense. I know when I got married I debated on weather or not I should rent a gown, buy one or make one. My mother and I decided it would be a wonderful experience to design and make one together. It really was a wonderful experience, but everyone doesn’t have an experienced seemstress for a mother. That was almost twenty years ago and even by those prices, I spent almost three hundred dollars in satin, lace and beading. At today’s prices I’m sure it would be much more. If I’d have had a simpler alternative, I may have taken it.

These white dresses are absolutely elegant. What could be more appropriate than a bride serving as the epitopmy of eligance in white.
